Parking is free of charge to vehicles that display a valid Blue Badge.
There are designated spaces close to the hospital entrances and also in the main entrance car park at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
You will find instructions at the pay station about how to claim free parking.

The following concessions are available at the discretion of the ward manager:
- A parent/guardian or carer of a child who is an inpatient is entitled to subsidised parking of £3 per day for the first two weeks (tariff rate £6.30) and thereafter free parking
- Parking from 7.30pm to 8am is free
- One relative or carer of a patient who has been in hospital for two weeks or more will be offered free parking
- Haematology/cancer patients who are undergoing regular outpatient treatment will receive free parking
- Relatives/carers of patients who are at the end of life are entitled to up to three free parking permits for a period of seven days at a time
- One relative or carer of a critically ill patient
- Extenuating circumstances. In some special circumstances concessionary parking can be provided to patients/visitors
The Matron/ward manager should be contacted and will provide an authorised form to the relative/carer/visitor or patient to take to the car parking office for issue of a concessionary permit.
Our hospitals are very busy places and roads and entrances must not be blocked:
- No parking on double yellow lines or yellow cross-hatched areas
- All vehicles should be parked within the marked bays
- Only registered disabled badge holders may park in disabled bays
- A valid pay and display ticket should be clearly displayed in your car if you use the pay and display car parks
- No exceeding the time limit in short stay bays
The car parks are patrolled by car park security officers and any vehicles in breach of these rules are liable to parking enforcement and a penalty of £30.
Officers carry out regular patrols and most areas are covered by CCTV, 24 hours a day. Although we will endeavour to ensure the safety of vehicles parked on the site, vehicles and their contents are left at the owners’ risk.
Please do not leave children or dogs alone in cars. If you discover a child or dog that appears to be in danger or distress, contact security officers. Where necessary, social services, the police or the RSPCA will be called to assist.
Should your visit to the hospital result in an emergency/unexpected admission, please ensure you tell the ward staff or department that your vehicle is parked on site.
Wherever possible, please make arrangements for your vehicle to be removed from site.
If this is not possible, provide the location of your vehicle and the registration number so that the car parking team can be advised. This will ensure that your vehicle does not receive a parking warning notice.
